英 國 研 究 發 現 ， 長 期 受 背 痛 之 苦 者 ， 記 憶 力 較 差 ， 易 忘 東 忘 西 。 英 國 基 爾 大 學 強 納 生 凌 ( 音 譯 ， Jonathan Ling) 教 授 邀 請 五 十 名 長 期 背 痛 患 者 ， 及 五 十 名 沒 背 痛 問 題 健 康 者 參 與 實 驗 ， 請 他 們 填 寫 前 瞻 記 憶 力 評 估 表 。 前 瞻 記 憶 力 指 是 否 記 得 將 要 做 的 事 ， 如 買 東 西 ， 看 醫 生 等 ， 可 分 為 短 期 性 、 長 期 性 和 偶 爾 需 提 醒 等 三 類 。 結 果 發 現 ， 長 期 背 痛 者 ， 短 期 性 前 瞻 記 憶 力 特 別 差 ， 健 康 者 則 無 此 跡 象 。 凌 教 授 解 釋 ， 背 痛 和 壓 力 與 認 知 能 力 有 關 ， 背 痛 者 常 接 受 類 固 醇 治 療 可 能 也 有 影 響 。 研 究 結 果 刊 登 在 三 月 號 《 身 心 失 調 醫 學 》 期 刊 。
