【明報專訊】據估計，全球3億人癡肥、8億人超重，不少專家都加入尋求減肥靈丹行列，但迄今成效一般，參與今次研究的科學家便希望揭示脂肪產生機制，有助藥物研發。

兩年內作人體試驗

初步研究發現，用NPY來增減脂肪並未有副作用，研究員相信，脂肪累積機制為所有哺乳動物相同，這方法可望用於人類。但一些科學家則較有保留，認為須進一步驗證。美國康奈爾大學的阿龍內教授更警告，世上沒有減肥靈藥，認為沒藥物能取代健康飲食及常做運動。「（新方法）無疑大有可為，但一般人不應該想：『我吃什麼都可以，只要等待用這種藥消脂便行』。」研究員正跟藥廠商談合作，估計兩年內便可開始人體試驗。
