如果你的工作需要你的手指和手腕不斷重複同一個動作,或者使用振動的工具,你罹患腕管症候群的風險就會較高,美國家庭醫師學院(American Academy of Family Physicians)建議人們應在生活方式和工作習慣上作若干調整,以預防這個肌肉骨骼方面的問題。

★身體過重者應減輕體重。

★應治療引起腕管症的疾病,如糖尿病、類風溼關節炎等。

★如果重複進行相同的手部動作,應避免讓手彎曲、探伸或扭曲過久。

★在工作時,不要使手距離身體過遠或過近。

★在工作時,經常讓雙手互用。

★使用的工具要合手,不宜太大。

★重複進行相同的手部動作時,要間歇休息,不可過勞。

★不要整天坐在或站在同一位置。

★經常使用電腦鍵盤的人,要把椅子調整到使前臂能與鍵盤齊平,在打字時可以不必使手腕曲張。
