運動和學習 有助防癡呆

【新華網】運動和學習是最好的預防癡呆方法。武漢大學中南醫院章軍建教授指出,人的大腦具有高度可塑性,透過規律的體育鍛鍊和有意識的加強記憶訓練,可在一定程度上延緩神經細胞老化過程,從而降低和延緩老年癡呆的發生。一些經常積極用腦的健康老人,其傳遞信息的細胞「樹突」數並不減少,甚至增加。另外,隨著年齡增長,知識經驗越來越豐富,容易建立多樣聯繫。

鍛鍊腦力和身體是預防早老性癡呆症最簡便易行的辦法。章教授建議,老年人可以根據自身情況參加一些體育鍛鍊,如散步、打太極拳、跳交誼舞等,這樣可加強血液循環,使大腦得到充足的血液供應,防止腦功能衰退。老年人應多做一些如彈琴、織毛衣等手指運動,使大腦反應更加迅速和靈敏。同時,老年人應該多讀書看報,多學習新事物,培養多種業餘愛好,不但可以活躍大腦的思維,更可以延緩記憶衰退。

老人還要遠離已知的癡呆危險因素。章教授說,癡呆危險因素主要是高血壓、糖尿病、高血脂、心臟病、動脈粥樣硬化、憂鬱和菸酒習慣等。有這些危險因素的患者,要定期檢查和適當治療;平時要注意飲食營養,不吸菸,不飲烈酒,多吃新鮮蔬菜和水果等;避免接觸鎘、鉛等有毒物質;保持樂觀的情緒,多與親人接觸,積極參加社會活動。
