控制膽固醇 先控制嘴和胃

 要降低膽固醇,平時飲食必須慎選低膽固醇食材,減少高熱量食物。
【劉惠敏】不少人知道,膽固醇過高可能導致心腦血管病變,不過您真的認識膽固醇嗎?膽固醇其實是人體必需物質,過高或過低都對健康有影響,要知道如何維持健康,就得要更進一步瞭解膽固醇。

膽固醇是體內的一種脂質,台北書田診所家醫科主治醫師康宏銘說明,70%的膽固醇由肝臟自行合成,另外30%來自於飲食中攝取,主要是動物性食物。

好膽固醇與壞膽固醇

膽固醇是人體細胞膜主要成分,是製造腎上腺素荷爾蒙、性荷爾蒙要素,可轉變為膽酸、有助人體消化脂肪,增長紅血球壽命、保護、維持血管強化等功能,因此膽固醇過低,則會影響身體機能。

若再細分,血液中的膽固醇、中性脂肪等,和蛋白質結合成成的物質,就稱為脂蛋白,以比重不同可分為低比重脂蛋白膽固醇(LDL),以及高比重脂蛋白膽固醇(HDL)。而LDL是造成血管硬化的危險因子,因此被視為「壞膽固醇」,HDL則可以去除附著在動脈內壁的LDL,防止動脈硬化,故稱為好膽固醇。

三酸甘油脂一併檢查

在正常情況下,人體合成、經食物攝取的膽固醇可以保持一定比例。不過現代人的大問題就是營養過剩、運動量不足、情緒緊張,影響身體調節,往往造成膽固醇過高,長期累積下來,就讓壞膽固醇「坐大」,引起血管硬化、危害健康。

康宏銘說明,血管硬化容易引發高血壓、心臟病(心肌梗塞)、腦血管阻塞、出血以及腎臟衰竭等其他器官病變,但膽固醇總量並非唯一的條件,因此在健檢時,必須要求另外檢查三酸甘油脂、以及HDL、LDL,還需注意是否有糖尿病、腎臟病等相關症狀,以及家族病史。
