維骨力 不是吃骨鬆的

●王子康建議骨鬆高危險群,即使是已經超過35歲保存骨本期,也可從預防做起:

1.一定要多運動:運動不是為了讓骨頭強健,而是增加自己的協調性和平衡感、較不容易跌倒;就算仍不小心跌倒,至少出手快,來得及用手撐住身體,骨質疏鬆之下,頂多手部骨折,打石膏即可恢復,不至於讓狀況更糟。

2.可穿防骨折褲:有一種流行的褲子,股骨兩側有厚軟墊,骨鬆的高危險群建議穿著,只是天氣若太熱,有些人難以接受。

3.關節炎和骨鬆是兩碼子事:由於骨質疏鬆症來得無聲無息,不少老人家誤以為退化性關節炎就是「骨頭不好」,以為關節痛跟骨質疏鬆有關,只要多喝大骨湯,吃些跟「骨」有關的產品,就能改善病情。

王子康特別提醒:有人因為怕骨鬆,天天吃「維骨力」,當發生意外求診時,還不解的問「為什麼?我有補充鈣啊」!王子康說,維骨力真正的作用,其實是用來修補軟骨的,對防止關節炎有效,但含鈣有限。

台北振興醫院骨科主治醫師曾國峰說,退化性關節炎跟骨鬆雖無關,「但有時候,這兩種疾病卻有著反向關係」。他說,不愛運動的人雖較不易為退化性關節炎所苦,但骨頭卻是「用進廢退」,適度運動可以減緩骨質流失,「最好在其中找到平衡點」。(劉惠敏)
